Aviators acquire Maguire, two tenders from Rochester

Feb 5, 2026

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira Aviators have acquired forward Corson Maguire, a 2025 tender and a 2026 tender from the Rochester Jr. Americans for forward Yianni Koukouves.

Maguire is a 2005-born forward from Toronto, Canada. He stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 174 pounds.

This is Maguire’s second season in the North American Hockey League. Last year, he skated with the Amarillo Wranglers in the South Division, where he put up 29 points in 34 games.

Maguire finished the 2024-25 season in the BCHL with the Prince George Spruce Kings before returning to the NAHL this season as a member of the Jr. Americans.

He has played in 38 games with Rochester this campaign, amassing 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points. The Aviators are hoping Maguire can bring some offensive firepower to the fray after scoring double-digit goals in a stacked Jr. Americans lineup.

Elmira has also received two tenders in the trade with Rochester. These tenders will be used to secure future players for the Aviators, signifying the club’s determination to bring success now and in the coming years.

With the excitement of new acquisitions also comes the unfortunate loss of a great player and person in the Elmira Aviators organization.

Yianni Koukouves is a stand-up player and citizen on and off the ice. Koukouves was an active and sincere member of the Elmira community and a strong hockey player.

Koukouves scored 10 goals and 24 points in 29 games for the Aviators this season. He was a leader in the locker room, serving as an alternate captain for the team.

The entire Elmira Aviators organization thanks Yianni for his time as an Aviator and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
