Elmira Hockey Academy and Elmira Aviators Name Chance Gorman Skills & Development Coach
Elmira, NY — The Elmira Hockey Academy and the Elmira Aviators are proud to announce the hiring of Chance Gorman as the organization’s new Skills and Development Coach.
A native of Clinton, New York, Gorman brings a strong playing background and leadership experience to the Aviators organization. He previously served as Captain of the Elmira College Soaring Eagles men’s ice hockey, where he was recognized for his leadership, work ethic, and commitment to team success.
Following his collegiate career, Gorman went on to play professionally in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), gaining valuable experience competing at the professional level.
In his new role, Gorman will work closely with both the Elmira Hockey Academy student-athletes and the Elmira Aviators NAHL roster, focusing on:

Small-group and individual on-ice sessions
“Chance brings tremendous energy and a strong understanding of player development,” said President of Hockey Operations Eddy Lowe. “His experience as a collegiate captain and professional player will be invaluable in helping our athletes continue to grow both on and off the ice.”
At the Elmira Hockey Academy, Gorman will play a key role in the program’s development model, which integrates elite hockey training, academics, and character development. His work will help prepare players for advancement to junior hockey, collegiate programs, and beyond.
The addition of Gorman reflects the organization’s continued commitment to building one of the premier development environments in junior hockey.
